We Are The Church
This Readers Theater script parallels the lives of two individuals; the biblical man who suffered with leprosy; and the modern day man who suffered with Covid-19. They recount how Jesus delivered them from their physical condition (a contagious disease contracted from man), but soon come to realize they also need deliverance from their spiritual condition (the sin inherited from Adam).
Testimony from the Tree
A tree shares the story of its existence; how it became the cross upon which Jesus was crucified, and how it witnessed the moment Jesus rose from the dead.
Mary and Elizabeth
Pregnancies today may not be as miraculous as Mary’s and Elizabeth’s; however, all pregnancies are gifts from God. In this beautiful sketch, the virgin Mary goes to visit Elizabeth and they proclaim the joy of their pregnancy through a musical duet.
A mother is temporarily reunited with her daughter after a tragic accident. Through ensuing dialogue we learn they are both deceased. Due to her daughter’s lifestyle, the mother thinks her daughter can’t get into Heaven, however to the surprise of the mother, she realizes that she is the one who can’t enter Heaven (because she never accepted Christ), not her daughter.
Two church members are fishing on a pier. In the course of their conversation, Charles expresses concern that the church is attracting a lot of people with personal problems. While they are talking, Deacon Wilson repeatedly catches fish and throws them back into the water. Eventually, Deacon Wilson explains that he is looking for a fish that has already been cleaned inside and out. Charles realizes there is no such thing as a “clean fish”; after you catch the fish, then you can clean it. Deacon Wilson helps Charles understand that new members are like that. They may come with many problems and issues but God is able to change them just like He changed us.
