What if it was a crime to be a “church member” without being saved. This sketch takes a humorous but very serious look at the issue, and the outcome, of being a member of a church without being a member of the Body of Christ.
This comedy sketch is a take-off of the popular game show “Jeopardy”, however, in this show the contestants answer questions from the bible in an effort to win their salvation. The losers are doomed to Hell for eternity.
Sin, Death, and the Grave think they have finally defeated Jesus as he is being crucified. However, they are surprised when he rises on the third day.
As we approach the celebration of Jesus’ death and resurrection, let’s give God praise and thanks that He did not stay dead, but he GOT UP and because He lives, we too will experience the joy of eternal life and one day we will be with Him.
There was a rich young man who wanted to know how to receive eternal life. The first time he met Jesus, Jesus exposed his weakness—his wealth was his god, his idol, and he could not (would not) give it up. For many months, the young man was trouble by Jesus’ challenge to him. Finally on the Day of Pentecost, the rich young man hears Peter’s powerful sermon of salvation. Now, once again, he is faced with a decision; to give his whole heart to God or walk away.
