The Christmas Encounter
After the Evans Family returns home from a Christmas play, the Father believes some of the events in the Christmas story are over-dramatized. Sure, a baby was born, but an Angel appearing to Shepherds, a big shining star in the sky, and Wise Men walking hundreds of miles, is hyperbole. God hears the Father’s complaint and sends the original Christmas Angel to visit him.
This Readers Theater script parallels the lives of two individuals; the biblical man who suffered with leprosy; and the modern day man who suffered with Covid-19. They recount how Jesus delivered them from their physical condition (a contagious disease contracted from man), but soon come to realize they also need deliverance from their spiritual condition (the sin inherited from Adam).
Testimony from the Tree
A tree shares the story of its existence; how it became the cross upon which Jesus was crucified, and how it witnessed the moment Jesus rose from the dead.
First Black Man on the Moon
Breaking News! NASA has discovered there is a man on the moon. Unknowingly, Mr. Leroy Jones, a member of the prep crew of Apollo 17, was still on the spacecraft when Mission Control initiated its launch in 1972. Now, nearly 50 years later, NASA has learned that Mr. Jones is still alive. Mission Control will make contact with him for the first time. We are witnessing an historic event; the first black man on the moon.
We Are The Church
What is the church? Is it the physical building we go to on Sunday morning? That’s the perception of many. This Readers Theater presentation explains that God’s church is not a building, but the body of believers in Jesus Christ.
