Script Type
The Mask
TLS0053Most of us (Christians) struggle to overcome personal hurts, bad habits, and hang-ups. This Reader’s Theatre piece exposes the false persona, (the “mask”) we wear to disguise how we are really doing. It examines why we wear a mask; what’s the impact of wearing our mask; and how we can remove our mask and recover for the sin and pain in our life.
Father and Son Talk
TLS0021A father engages his son in a “man to man” discussion about life on his son’s sixteenth birthday. Surprisingly, the father learns more from his son than the son learns from him. This is a great script for Father’s Day.
A Father’s Time
TLS0033Charles is a workaholic and spends very little time with his family. From the time his son was born to the time his son became a teenager Charles put his job responsibilities ahead of the parenting responsibilities. As a result, he failed to recognize and heed to the warning signs that ultimately lead to the tragic death of his son.
Football Christian
TLS0005Jack is so consumed by the football game he fails to notice that Jesus is actually speaking to him. Jesus uses the sport of football as an allegory to explain the role of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in our life today. This is a great sketch to perform during the football season.
The Best Gift
TLS0001Three members of the church meet to determine what gift to give their Pastor. Unable to come to an agreement after frustrating (and comical) deliberations, a young child recommends they agree to give him the best gift of all…their prayers.
Palm Sunday Witnesses
TLS0053Thousands of people were present to witness Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Among them were Passover Visitors, Pharisees, and Jesus’ Disciples. A representative from each group will share their feelings about what Jesus meant to them as they witnessed Jesus riding into the city.
