The Christmas Chair
A warehouse employee is taking a post-holiday inventory of Christmas props when she approaches Santa’s Christmas Chair. The chair brings back memories of her childhood and how she placed her faith in Santa to supply her needs. Now that she is an adult, she realizes that she must have the same child-like faith and trust in Jesus. This sketch is a great post-Christmas presentation.
Life and Order – Sin Victims Unit
This sketch is a parody of the popular TV crime show “Law and Order”. The victim (Mrs. Washington) has been attacked by Sin. The police detectives, assigned to investigate the crime, are trying to identify which Sin(s) attacked Mrs. Washington and caused her to sin. Mrs. Washington is able to identify her sin attackers in a police line-up. The detectives give Mrs. Washington a few instructions to help her avoid becoming a victim of sin in the future.
A Touch of Faith
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States, other than skin cancer. This Readers Theatre script parallels the lives of two women; the biblical woman who suffered with bleeding for 12 years; and the modern day woman who is suffering with breast cancer. They recount their struggle to deal with their condition and reflect on how they came to a decision to put their faith in Jesus for their healing. This is a great script to perform in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Two Thieves for Christmas
It’s a week before Christmas. Two bumbling thieves (dressed up as Santa and an Elf) just committed a crime. Now they are trying to get away from the scene of the crime. Fearing they will be spotted by the police, they decide to hide out in a nearby church where the members are preparing to rehearse their Christmas play. The Santa is able to conceal his true motive for stopping by the church until the Elf blows their cover. Now Santa must hold the Pastor and all church members hostage until their pick-up ride comes. To keep everyone calm, the Pastor decides to proceed with the Christmas play rehearsal under these less-than-ideal conditions. After the rehearsal is over, the Pastor extends an invitation to salvation to the thieves. It was God’s plan to guide them to this church on this day just so they can come to understand the true meaning of Christmas and salvation through Jesus Christ. Touched by the Christmas story, the thieves decide to end their life of crime and receive the greatest Christmas gift of all…The Gift of Salvation.
This script is a parody of a Cooking TV show. The Blessed Baker is preparing her famous “Life Cake”; consisting of personal problems, hardships, and overdue bills. This life mixture looks really messy. However, after she adds a dab of FAITH and bakes the ingredients in the oven of PATIENCE and BELIEF, the Life Cake will turn out to be beautiful.
Your Blessing Is Waiting
Three people (dressed as boxes) are sitting on the loading dock. They are physical manifestations of “God’s blessings” waiting to be delivered to their recipients. However, their deliverance is contingent on the recipient’s obedience to God.
